The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra

  • Emanuel Lutheran 200 East Quincy Street New London, Wisconsin USA (map)

The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra is a talented group of Christian musicians whose focus is on a Celtic interpretation of Christian worship. Utilizing instruments such as bagpipes, tin whistle, fiddle, harp, and accordion, and blending the unique sounds of Celtic music with the worship format, traditions, legends, and figures of Celtic Christianity, the group has conducted a series of historically inspired Celtic Liturgies at various churches across the US. The ensemble was founded by Pastor Mark Jeske of St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is now led by Joey Schumann, an acclaimed Celtic performer with seven consecutive appearances at Carnegie Hall in New York City. We cordially invite you to join us at A Celtic Service with The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra, a Christian worship service that is free and open to everyone.
