Andrea Dorn
Sixth Grade Homeroom Teacher

Mrs. Dorn serves as the Sixth Grade Homeroom teacher, as well as the Science, History/Geography, and STEM teacher for fifth through eighth grades. She joined the Emanuel team in 2023. Before this, she served for seven years at St. Stephen in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, where she had various roles, including tech director and eighth-grade homeroom teacher, in addition to teaching fifth through eighth-grade science and technology. Mrs. Dorn graduated this summer with a Master's of Education with an emphasis on Educational Technology, a degree she worked on for five years.
Andrea grew up in Mason, Michigan, and attended Emanuel First Lutheran in Lansing for grade school. She went on to high school at Michigan Lutheran Seminary. She met her husband while they were both attending Martin Luther College, where she graduated as a Secondary Education major with an emphasis on math. Her eldest daughter, Ruth, is a freshman at MLC. Her other two children, Leah and Micah, are a senior and a freshman, respectively, at Fox Valley Lutheran.
In her free time, Mrs. Dorn enjoys reading, cooking, and baking. She finds inspiration in Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, keep working at it with all your heart, as for the Lord and not for people, because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. Keep serving the Lord Christ!"
