Pastor Mark Tiefel
Lead Pastor
Pastor Mark Tiefel grew up in Mequon, Wisconsin. He graduated from Martin Luther College in 2005 and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2010. Pastor Tiefel served Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas from 2010-2016. He became a pastor at Emanuel in 2016 and took on the role of Lead Pastor in 2019. Mark also serves as the Worship Coordinator of the WELS Northern Wisconsin District and serves the synod as a member of the WELS Commission on Worship.
Pastor Tiefel is very fond of music, writing instruments, and of course, the Green Bay Packers. He’s married to Kate and is the proud dad of three daughters: Hannah, Nora, and Greta.
A Bible passage he treasures is Ephesians 3:8: To me—even though I am the very least of all the saints—was given this grace: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
